Leaving

Heyyy!!

So, todays review will be on a T.V programme I recently watched, it was only 3 episodes long and came on ITV every Monday night for an hour, the basic storyline for this plot is that a 44 year old woman feels unloved by her husband and ends up flirting with a new staff member who is in his twenty's and a bit of fun turns into a passionate romance.

Helen McCrory played the troubled mother who felt old with her body and like her husband didn't pay her any attention so she began to have an affair with Aaron, now what’s ironic about this is she organizes weddings for other people and knows the vows off by heart, yet she chooses to have an affair.

She tells Aaron that the affair must end and she needs to look out for her family, however the husband has been flitting with a young girl at his workplace and gets a warning because of it, he then finds out about Julie and resorts in slapping her.

It is obvious that each character are both feeling old and that they want to feel young again, after this part Aaron confronts him and starts a fight whereas Julie is left with a choice, help her husband and kids, or go off with Aaron, she chooses her kids, until one night she realizes she is unhappy and goes to Aaron, but Aaron stops this from happening and pretends he isn't in, the scene then fades out to the future where it repeats itself and Julie is getting people ready for marriage and Aaron is sat in the crowd, they never get back together.

Later on that night, I went on Twitter and typed '#leaving' not many people liked the ending to this short series, they complained that ITV should show a happy ending for once, and others complained about the age between them, this shows the gap in society in what people see as right and wrong.

Hope you enjoyed this.

Til' next time.
