Heyyy!!
So, todays review will be on a T.V programme I recently watched, it was only 3 episodes long and came on ITV every Monday night for an hour, the basic storyline for this plot is that a 44 year old woman feels unloved by her husband and ends up flirting with a new staff member who is in his twenty's and a bit of fun turns into a passionate romance.
Helen McCrory played the troubled mother who felt old with her body and like her husband didn't pay her any attention so she began to have an affair with Aaron, now what’s ironic about this is she organizes weddings for other people and knows the vows off by heart, yet she chooses to have an affair.
She tells Aaron that the affair must end and she needs to look out for her family, however the husband has been flitting with a young girl at his workplace and gets a warning because of it, he then finds out about Julie and resorts in slapping her.
It is obvious that each character are both feeling old and that they want to feel young again, after this part Aaron confronts him and starts a fight whereas Julie is left with a choice, help her husband and kids, or go off with Aaron, she chooses her kids, until one night she realizes she is unhappy and goes to Aaron, but Aaron stops this from happening and pretends he isn't in, the scene then fades out to the future where it repeats itself and Julie is getting people ready for marriage and Aaron is sat in the crowd, they never get back together.
Later on that night, I went on Twitter and typed '#leaving' not many people liked the ending to this short series, they complained that ITV should show a happy ending for once, and others complained about the age between them, this shows the gap in society in what people see as right and wrong.
Hope you enjoyed this.
Til' next time.

Donating blood...
Hey guys!!!!
Okay, so a few month ago I signed up to the NHS to donate blood, they sent me a letter today with my appointment, and a form I have to fill out, asking if I've done drugs and all that lot, so yeah pretty easy, I was stood ticking the 'No' box, and some of the questions... I didn't have a clue what half of them where about! D: However, I'm pretty sure I don't have aids or anything. :P
I'm lacking humour in today’s blog, I can tell. If you all wanted to know, it's still raining, and my wellies (Tehe, funny word) don't keep my feet 100% dry, disappointment.
Not much went on today, so I can't really go on a big detailed rant about it, the weirdest thing that happened was that I had a lesson with my ex and my gay best friend whom I tell everything, so yeah, bit awkward. But other than that it was a normal day. I'm going to stop boring you guys with my rambling on, I promise one of my next blogs will be better :P
And I keep my promises ;D Anyways, until next time.
Enjoy <3>

It's getting darker...
Hey again guys!!
This will only be a short blog, I woke up very early this morning, about 6, I believe and I noticed the street lights were still on, it's getting darker! Soon my early morning jogs will be no more! :(
I don't know why, but I'm finding it very hard to express my feelings on here today, maybe I'm just tired, who knows?! I will tell you though, that over the last 2 days, I've started watching the Matt Smith Doctor Who’s, now, as soon as I saw him first time on screen, I disliked him, I judged too quickly, but after watching nearly 15 episodes he has grown on me, and I think the bow tie has too, I can't say the same for Amy Pond, there’s something I'll about her never like, and it's not like me to dislike a ginger, believe you and me! :P
Moral of the story, don't judge a book by its cover, in this case I think it's the tie that throws people of guard. If you do read this and happen to dislike Matt Smith, give him a try, he gets better, not David Tennant better, but he does get better.
I told you this would be short!
Enjoy!

50 Shades Of Grey.
Hey again, just reviewing a book this time.
Now, where to begin. I think most of us know of this book, most women have read it too, I've been researching and I discovered that '50 Shades of Grey' is the bestselling book in the world, outselling other book series, such as Harry Potter.
I had the misfortune of reading all 3 (A friend dragged me into it, she was ashamed) however, back to the review... Now, I had begun to read the first book and it was all so sweet, how Christian treated Anna like a princess, who would have thought this book was about to have such a unexpected twist?!
I had finished the first book and in no way at all did I enjoy the thoughts it had left me with, however, I'd read the first book and well, what’s the point in not reading one if you won't read them all, and that’s what I did, it didn't take me long at all, I had the first 2 books down in 2 days, the last book however took me about a week, It was rather boring and dragged on, I thought they could have ended it at 2. So after reading all 3, I gave them back to my friend and ever since the book hasn't stopped haunting me since, everywhere I go all I hear is 'Omg I want a Christian Grey' at one point even one of my teachers said it. (That my friend is a SCARY thought.)
So, what are my opinions?
Well, if you ask me, I would tell you not to read this book, there is no deep reason for it from myself, I just disliked them, and I never really imagined Christian to be 'A knight in Shining armour' must just be me, but what I will say on behalf of others is this book is basically 'Mummy Porn' excuse my language.
I've been reading up on articles and I know for a fact that the feminists dislike this book; they think it drags the women down in society, and that it's strange because the character 'Anna' easily gave herself away to a man she barely knows. I think the feminists also realise that the writer E.L.James must have tried some of the things in this book to be able to write about them in such detail. Another thing I've noticed is that when I go to Asda or any local supermarket, in the book isle I've noticed other types of this genre, each time I've read the blurb and I've known, just because of how it says 'She's introduced to a new world' this type of quote explains it all.
50 Shades has created a book revolution, and women must be getting desperate to keep buying them, (no offence ladies but that type of book shouldn't be sold in shops, maybe the top shelf in corner shops)
This book basically portrays how men are dominant and to add, Christian Grey is the top of the top, he is controlling man who owns his own business. This just portrays the Patriarchal Society...
Another point.
In Media I remember watching Twilight in lesson (Another appalling book, but that’s for another time ;D)
However, I remember watching Twilight and then it clicked, there are so many links between this book and this film.
A few examples
Anna moves to a cold country- in Twilight so does Bella
Anna's best friend is in love with her- in Twilight Jacob is in love with Bella
Anna goes on Holiday to visit her mum who is in a warm country- Bella does the same
Christian follows Anna to this holiday- Edward goes with Bella
Christian always makes Anna eat- in Twilight Edward tells Bella to eat
Just a few, but I could name a few more...
So, an end to the blog, in my opinion, 50 Shades of Grey is no other than a copy of Twilight which just involves more sex and less fangs, the writer makes the book confusing by how it's not linear and Christian is no other than a control freak who likes wine. That’s it for now.
Enjoy. :)

The sky was blue.
Hey again guys.
Just to let you know, my blog will contain film/book reviews and my day to day activities. I forgot to mention this yesterday, my bad. Well whilst I'm here why don't I tell you about my day!
If you read my last blog you'll know that I slept at a friend’s last night. I woke up I did my hair, Make-up, (spent a while on the hair actually). And as me and Heather were getting ready to leave it poured it down, there was one umbrella between us, and in the end I gave up, my hair was getting wet either way. So the rain slowly stopped and all was fine, apart from my boots (Don't get me started on those) all I'll say is soggy boots are GRIM!
So, I thought I'd go home, change the shoes, dry the hair and come into college late, but I don't think the weather agreed, soon as I began the walk home, the heavens opened!
My I was drenched! Soggy boots, wet hair, wet clothes and some of my work in my bag was wet. Bad start to the day. Instead I decided that the walk wasn't worth what the skies was throwing at me, so I changed my path to college. I was the only one in my lesson that looked like I'd just been in water fight. All I can say is I was FREEZING :'(
Things got better...
So as the day progressed my hair began to dry, it didn't look that great but it dried nonetheless, and the clothes, they're fine, the boots however, still wet, still soggy.. Not nice.
First Period was Sociology, I'm finding it much more interesting than last year, and I also find that I'm learning, even though I came out with an E the subject seems to have gotten better! And I'm beginning to come out of my shell more and talk more (For the record guys, I'm not shy, it's just last year in Sociology, life was DEATH)
Second Period I was in Media, my favourite lesson of the bunch, and we were talking about representations of men and women, not much hard work, just copying what the teacher had made, (I'll stop dragging on). This is a lesson were I have a high opinion of things, I swear people must be tired of my voice, I bet the teacher thinks it too, me and my smart remarks... Poor people!
All in all it was a decent lesson.
After this I knew that I'd be having form in half an hour, just the boots, THE GOD DAMN BOOTS.
I couldn't bare it anymore, so I skipped form (All we do is talk about charity work anyway) and came home. I ate, I had a drink, and now I'm being merry and typing this up. Now just to see what the rest of the day gives me, I know homework is one of them, when I'll do this, I'm unsure.
Sorry for the essay, just venting here. Enjoy! :)

Wonderful weather we're having...
Hey again!
Just to let you know, I'm only doing this because I'm bored... Heather is in the shower and one doesn't know what to do when they're bored, I find this happens a lot. Anyways, for anyone that is going to bother reading these blogs, I'd advise you try not to look at my posts from 2010, rather embarrassing in my own opinion, they were the young days when I couldn't spell nor' tell a story in a linear way.
So, I do apologize if they scare you, but you have been warned :')
Ahh, so to my main focus of this particular blog!
The weather! Where do I start with that?! All I can say is its bipolar. I mean, it rains and then the sun comes out, it rains whilst it’s sunny; it had a lovely hailstorm all over me and my lovely Heather too!
This darn rain needs to sort its mind out, I have college tomorrow and I don't enjoy the idea of being soaked wet through before I get to the bottom of the street! :'(
Another thing I must stress upon is the fact I'll be waking up to go on an early morning hike with my nearest and dearest (Heather) and tonight all we've done is eat junk food, it kind of defeats the object.
And I'm not the one to be health conscious. Js.
Well, Heather has re-entered the room now, so I guess I shall be leaving now. Enjoy ;D

Dark Shadows.
Dark Shadows- Dark shadows is a TV series remade by Tim Burton as a film which was released in cinemas on May 11th this year. A young man named Barnabas Collins falls in love with a young woman; however things get messy when one of the servants get jealous and curses the 2 lovers and has the young woman walk to a cliff to plunge to her death. Barnabas sees all of this, and with his despair throws himself off the cliff in hopes to join her, however once he's at the cliff bottom he realizes he cannot die, the witch has cursed him for all eternity, drove mad with jealousy she has him hunt down and put in a coffin for 196 years until the year 1972, he has been dug up and now let loose on the strange town he once knew. He finds some distant relatives and focuses on releasing the curse put upon his family, the mysteries of the witch begin to unfold, and matters are resolved once the witch is killed.
Dark Shadows was directed by Tim Burton, as much has Tim Burton’s style of films is amazing, I couldn’t help find that the plot was rather predictable, He used the same actors such as Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter, I have found that when watching these 2 actors in other films they tend to play the schizophrenic characters, the main character in Dark Shadows is called Barnabas, he plays a paranoid vampire, I couldn’t help think of Tim Burton… I also found that Dark Shadows will be nothing like the TV series, the series was full of bloopers such as wrong clothing, badly made effects, wrong dialogue, this added the humour to the series which the audience admired, whereas the film had little of this and didn’t quite live up to my expectations as a film, even though the film was good, I don’t think much characterisation was focused on in the film, Tim Burton focused more on his artistic style and the special effects….
